Estandarte, Norberto Nicola

Flat, made of wool on a handloom, entitled "Estandarte", created by artist Norberto Nicola (São Paulo, SP, 1930-2007), as signed by c.i.d. and executed, according to the label, by the "Atelier Douchez-Nicola" (1959-1980) of tapestries, which he founded in 1959 with Jacques Douchez (Mâcon, France 1921 - São Paulo, Brazil 2012). This work participated in the exhibition at Galeria Bonino, RJ in 1968, according to the catalog of this exhibition and the text on page 243 of the book Norberto Nicola - Trama Ativa organization: Denise Mattar. Publication: Pinacoteca e Imprensa Oficial, 2013. Nicola was a student in the early 1950s of abstract artist Samson Flexor (Soroca, Moldova Republica 1907 - São Paulo, Brazil 1971) in his "Atelier Abstração". He participated in international exhibitions and received several awards.
